Our Story
Every Englander Equestrian boot has the family name pressed into it somewhere, because the business behind it is a family one. This is where it came from.
It started in a shipping container
Just Horse Riders started in 2010. Aaron Englander began selling riding kit from a shipping container. The business has stayed family-run ever since.
Just Horse Riders Limited
The company, Just Horse Riders Limited, was incorporated on 22 January 2014 (company number 08856942, registered in England and Wales). Today it trades from Lancaster Farm, Burned House Lane, Preesall, Lancashire, FY6 0PQ, and sells riding boots and clothing from makers including Ariat, Dublin, Brogini, Rhinegold, Shires, Gallop, Hy, Toggi, Mountain Horse and HKM. Customers have left more than 14,000 verified reviews across Google, Trustpilot and Reviews.io, with an average of 4.9 out of 5.
Why we made our own brand
The reason came from standing behind the counter. We have sold other makers' riding boots since 2010, and over those years the same boot kept costing more. Riding is already expensive. Nobody should have to stop, or put off starting, because a pair of boots costs seventy pounds instead of fifty.
So we started making our own. Not to be the cheapest thing on the shelf, and not to undercut the brands we still stock and rate. We make the few things a rider genuinely needs to get going, we sell them direct with nobody in between, and we hold the price at a level that keeps people riding.
Here is the market we are pricing against. On 7 September 2026 the Just Horse Riders catalogue held 64 adult jodhpur boots from other brands, from £18.74 to £240.00, with a middle price of £41.59, and 22 adult tall riding boots from £59.62 to £187.65, with a middle price of £102.91. Our own range is Gaia jodhpur boots from £26.95, Athena tall boots from £49.95, Atlas zip-front yard boots at £59.95, Hera country boots at £89.95 and Aiya riding tights from £24.95. Every product has 90-day returns.
It is built for beginners, improving riders, and parents kitting out children who grow out of everything within a year or two. It is not built for the top end of the sport, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
The name and the mark
Englander is Aaron's surname, and ENGLANDER is the word pressed into the heel of the Gaia and the Hera and the collar of the Atlas. The logo is a hexagon ring around a capital E whose top arm is a horse's head. You will find it as a metal badge on Gaia, pressed into the ankle of Athena, moulded into the rubber heel of Atlas, debossed on the cuff of Hera and on the back waistband of Aiya riding tights. The wordmark is set in Geometos. Englander Equestrian was registered as a UK trade mark on 6 February 2026 (UK00004297283).
