Returns and Warranty

We design the range and sell it direct, so if something is not right you deal with the family-run team behind Just Horse Riders, the people who designed the range and packed your order. Three things protect you: our 90-day returns, the 12-month fair-use warranty on Hera country boots, and the rights you have in law whatever we say here.

90-day returns, step by step

Every Englander Equestrian product bought on this site can be returned within 90 days. This is our own promise, and it is longer than the 14 days the law gives you. It applies to boots and tights alike, and the 90 days run from the day you receive your order.

  1. Try the item on indoors. Walk on carpet or a clean floor, not in the yard, so it stays in the condition it arrived in. Keep the box, tissue paper and swing tag.
  2. Tell us you want to return it. Email hello@englanderequestrian.co.uk or use the contact form. Give your order number, the item, and whether you want a refund or a different size.
  3. Send it to our warehouse. The returns address is Just Horse Riders Ltd, Lancaster Farm, Burned House Lane, Preesall, Lancashire, FY6 0PQ. Put a note with your order number inside.
  4. Pack it and post it. Put the boot box inside an outer bag or carton so it arrives as it left. Keep your proof of posting. Return postage is yours to pay unless the item is faulty.
  5. Get your refund. We refund within 14 days of the return reaching us.

Need a different size? Say so in step 2. The size guide lists the UK and EU pairs for every boot.

Bought from another stockist? Orders from justhorseriders.co.uk are covered by that site's returns policy, which gives the same 90 days from the same team, so start the return there.

Your 14-day right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you can cancel an online order for any reason. You have 14 days from the day you receive the goods to tell us, and a further 14 days to send them back. We refund within 14 days of getting the goods back, or of you showing us that you have posted them. Our 90-day returns cover the same ground for longer, so most people never need this route. The model cancellation form is in our terms of service.

Faulty goods

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not:

  • within 30 days of delivery you can reject the item for a full refund;
  • after 30 days you can ask for a repair or a replacement, and for a refund if that does not put things right;
  • for the first six months a fault is presumed to have been there from the start, unless we can show otherwise.

Soles and heels worn down through use, scuffs, and leather that has cracked after drying next to a radiator or a fire are wear, not faults. Report a fault the same way as a return, with photos, and we will put it right.

Hera country boots: the 12-month fair-use warranty

Hera country boots (£89.95, prices checked 5 September 2026) are the only product in the range with a published warranty of its own. It runs for 12 months and covers the boots under fair use. In plain words, fair use means the boots have been worn for riding and yard work and cared for as the swing tag describes; the written terms give the detail. The warranty is in addition to your legal rights, not instead of them.

How to claim

  1. We look at the photos and reply.
  2. If the claim is accepted we put it right by repair, replacement or refund, as the written terms set out.

What the warranty does not cover

The written terms list what is excluded. The care hints on the swing tag, in particular drying the boots away from direct heat, are the standard we expect the boots to have been kept to.

Do the other boots have a warranty?

No separate warranty is published for them. Gaia jodhpur boots, Gaia Zipped jodhpur boots, Athena tall boots, Atlas zip-front yard boots and Aiya riding tights are covered by the 90-day returns above and by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Looking after your boots

The boot swing tag carries care hints. Following them keeps the boots in good shape and keeps any claim straightforward.

  • Wipe the boots down with a damp cloth after each use.
  • If they get soaked, take the insoles out, stuff the boots with paper to draw out the moisture and hold their shape, and dry them away from direct heat.
  • Hera country boots are full-grain buffalo leather. A leather conditioner or boot polish keeps the leather nourished. Do not use these products on suede, nubuck or distressed leather.
  • Gaia, Gaia Zipped and Athena boots have synthetic uppers. They need no product. Wipe them clean and let them dry.

Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page reduces your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you are unhappy with how we have handled a return or a claim, contact us and ask for it to be looked at again. Our refund policy and terms of service set out the same rights in formal wording.
