Review Policy

Reviews only help you if they are honest. This page says where the reviews on this site come from, how they are collected, and what we will and will not do with them. It is written to meet the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, which bans fake reviews and hidden incentives.

Where our reviews come from

Englander Equestrian is the own brand of Just Horse Riders, a family-run Lancashire retailer trading since 2010. The range has been sold on justhorseriders.co.uk since January 2025, so that is where reviews of these boots and tights have been written.

Just Horse Riders as a shop holds 14,000+ verified reviews with an average of 4.9 out of 5 across Google, Trustpilot and Reviews.io. That figure covers the retailer as a whole, across every brand it sells. It is not a count of Englander Equestrian reviews, and we do not quote an Englander Equestrian figure of our own. Older reviews were collected on Feefo and imported into Reviews.io.

Reviews on Amazon and eBay are collected and shown by those platforms under their own rules.

How we ask for a review

• An invitation is sent after an order.
• The wording is neutral. It asks for an honest opinion. It does not ask for five stars, suggest what to write or hint that a good review is expected.
• There is no gating. We do not ask "were you happy?" and then send only the happy customers to the review site.
• A review is marked verified when the review platform has matched it to an order.

Rewards and incentives

We do not pay for reviews, discount for them, gift for them or enter reviewers into a prize draw. If we ever ran a scheme that rewarded reviewing, it would be open to every reviewer whatever rating they gave, and it would be disclosed on the review and on this page.

Negative reviews

• Negative reviews are published, on the review platform and on this site, alongside positive ones.
• We do not edit the wording of any review.
• A review comes down only if it breaks the platform's rules, for example if it is abusive, gives away someone's personal details, or is about a different product or a different seller. A low rating is never a reason.
• If a problem is fixed, the customer may update their review if they wish. We do not ask them to change the rating.

What we never do

• Write reviews ourselves or ask anyone to write one on our behalf.
• Buy reviews or use a service that supplies them.
• Pick out only the good reviews to show on a product page.
• Invent an Englander Equestrian review count or star rating.
• Hide that a review was incentivised, in the unlikely event that one ever is.

The law

The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 makes it a banned practice to write or commission fake reviews, to publish consumer reviews without taking reasonable steps to keep fake and hidden-incentive reviews out, and to hide that a review was incentivised. The Advertising Standards Authority's CAP Code applies the same standard to any review we quote in advertising. This policy is how we meet both.
