We collect what we need to take your order, deliver it and look after you afterwards. Analytics and marketing cookies run only with your consent. You can see, correct or delete your data at any time.
Who is responsible for your data
Englander Equestrian is the own brand of Just Horse Riders, a family-run Lancashire retailer trading since 2010. The legal entity is Just Horse Riders Limited. It is the data controller for this website, which means it decides how and why your personal data is used and is responsible for protecting it.

What this policy covers
This policy covers englanderequestrian.co.uk and the emails, calls and letters you exchange with us about it. It is written under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. If you buy Englander Equestrian products on justhorseriders.co.uk, Amazon or eBay, we are still the seller, but that site's own privacy notice also applies to what the site itself does with your data.
What we collect, and why
We collect only what we need to sell you a pair of boots or tights and to look after you afterwards. The table shows each kind of data, when we collect it, what we use it for, and the legal reason that lets us use it (the "lawful basis").

Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with companies that do work for us, and only the parts they need for that work. These companies are called processors. Each one has a contract with us that says it must protect your data and use it only on our instructions.

We may also share data when the law requires it, for example with HMRC, a court or the police, and with our accountants, insurers and legal advisers where we need their help. If the business were ever sold, customer records would pass to the new owner under the same rules.
Where your data is stored
Shopify may store and process data outside the United Kingdom. Where data leaves the UK, we rely on the UK adequacy regulations for the receiving country, or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, so that your data keeps the same level of protection it has here.

Cookies
Essential cookies run the site and the checkout. Analytics and marketing cookies are set only if you agree in the cookie banner, and marketing pixels do not load until you have agreed. You can change your mind at any time. The cookie policy explains each category, lists the cookies and shows how to change your choices.
Marketing emails
We send marketing emails only if you sign up, or if you are a customer and did not opt out at checkout. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy (a subject access request)
- correct data that is wrong
- delete your data, where we no longer need to keep it
- stop or limit how we use it
- give you your data in a file you can take elsewhere
- stop using your data for marketing, at any time and for any reason
- withdraw consent you gave earlier, for example for cookies or emails
To use any of these rights, email hello@englanderequestrian.co.uk with "Data request" in the subject line, or write to the registered office. Tell us the name and email address you ordered with. We may ask for proof of identity so that we do not give your data to someone else. There is no charge. We reply within one month. If a request is complex we can take up to two more months, and we will tell you if that happens and why.
Some data we must keep even if you ask us to delete it, such as invoices, because tax law requires it. We will tell you if that applies to your request.
How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk. You can go to the ICO at any time.
Children
We sell children's riding boots and riding tights, but we sell them to adults. This site is for adults, and children's products are bought by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.
Security
The site runs on Shopify over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Payment details go directly to Shopify Payments or PayPal. We never see or store your full card number. Only staff who need access to orders have it. If a data breach ever put you at risk, we would tell you and the ICO as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our tools or our practices change. The date at the bottom shows the current version. If a change affects you in a significant way, we will email customers on record before it takes effect.

Do you sell or share my data with other companies for their own use?
No. We share data only with the companies that host the site, take payment, pack and deliver orders, send our emails and collect reviews, and only so they can do that work for us.
How do I get a copy of the data you hold about me?
Email hello@englanderequestrian.co.uk with Data request in the subject line, or write to our registered office. Tell us the name and email address you ordered with. It is free and we reply within one month.
Do you store my card number?
No. Card details go straight to Shopify Payments or PayPal. We see the card type, the last four digits and whether the payment went through.
Does the same company handle my data on both websites?
Yes. Englander Equestrian is the own brand of Just Horse Riders Limited, so the same team and the same systems handle your order and your data on englanderequestrian.co.uk and justhorseriders.co.uk.
