The Hera Range: Waterproof Leather Country Boots

Hera is the leather country boot range from Englander Equestrian. There is one boot, the Hera country boot, in chocolate full-grain buffalo leather with a 100% waterproof construction, in adult sizes UK 4 to 8 (EU 37 to 42, no EU 40) and two calf widths. It costs £89.95 including VAT and carries a 12-month fair-use warranty.

The Hera family

The Hera range is deliberately small. It is one adult boot, pull-on only, in one colour, chocolate, with a choice of two calf fits. There is no child Hera, no zipped Hera and no short Hera. If you want a child's boot, a zip, or a synthetic upper, the other ranges cover those.

The Hera sits at the top of the Englander Equestrian range. It is the only boot in the range made from full-grain buffalo leather and the one that comes with a 12-month fair-use warranty. It is one of our two waterproof boots; the other is the Atlas. It has been on sale since January 2025.

Upper	Full-grain buffalo leather, chocolate. Pebble-grain shaft with a smooth, darker cuff, mid-shaft band, vamp and heel counter.
Lining	Breathable mesh lining with comfort padding. PU-moulded footbed with removable insoles.
Sole	Shock-absorbent, slip-resistant rubber. Deep multi-directional lugs and a separate heel block.
Fastening	Pull-on. Elasticated panel plus a leather lace through two brass-coloured eyelets at the cuff.
Waterproofing	100% waterproof construction with sealed seams.
Calf widths	Standard calf and Wide calf; Wide adds 6 cm at the top of the calf.

Who the Hera range is for

• Riders and horse owners whose boots get wet most days: yard work, field walks, lanes and hacking.
• Anyone who wants a full-grain leather country boot with a waterproof construction for under £90.
• Riders with a wider calf, thanks to the Wide fit.
• Beginner and intermediate riders who want one leather boot for the yard and for hacking.

Who the Hera range is not for

• Children. The Hera is adult sizes UK 4 to 8 only. For children's boots see the kids collection.
• Anyone who wants a vegan or synthetic boot. The Hera is real leather; the Athena and Gaia are synthetic.
• Schooling, lessons and competition, where a tall boot or a jodhpur boot is the usual choice.
• Anyone who wants a zip. The Hera pulls on; the Atlas has a front zip.
• Feet below UK 4 or above UK 8, or calves outside the table below.

Fit and sizing

Choose the UK size you normally wear. The Hera ladder skips a number: UK 6 is EU 39 and UK 7 is EU 41; there is no EU 40 in this range. Both fits share the same height and ankle; the Wide fit changes only the top of the calf. Our size-chart graphic calls the Standard fit Regular; they are the same fit.

The product page has the two fits as separate tables with GTINs. The size guide explains how to measure your calf and ankle. If the fit is wrong, you have 90 days to return the boots.

Care

Wipe the boots down with a damp cloth after each use. If they get soaked, take out the insoles, fill the boots with paper and dry them away from direct heat. Use a leather conditioner or boot polish now and then to feed the leather. These hints are also printed on the swing tag in the box.
